It was exciting creating my first client Wordpress website for Paula Freeman. Paula Freeman’s website goals as an author, speaker, and adoption social worker were to create a site where people could purchase her book, sign up for her blog, learn about her personal experience with adoption and connect with people whom she may be able to help.
First, I created branding that helped inform the look and feel of Paula’s website. I created a logo, business card, and notecard to establish cohesive branding elements. I used this color palette, logo, and feather graphic on the website. Paula was able to provide excellent photography that personalized the look. A lead capture form was created to encourage people to join Paula’s email blog list. I created a blog template in Mailchimp that Paula is able to use to send out her blog posts.
